Blanqa™ is an idea of the Padova family: four generations of farmers also known as "Mastri di San Basilio" (www.san-basilio.com). A story born in Sicily: a unique land; where "Agriculture" means much more than "cultivating the land". Since 1888 the Padova family has been working with places, time, people and experiences. With the ambition to make the best possible agriculture in respect of the territories and their life cycle.
Blanqa™ puts its experience in agriculture at the service of the most demanding chef and gourmet. Providing raw materials, semi-finished and finished products, selected in the elective areas of production. In those places we know the people, the land, the crops and, only then, we select the products. Semi-finished and finished products are for us links in the same chain. A work that originates in the certainty of the origin of the raw material.
BLANQA was the first company in Europe to promote the first research project totally dedicated to the study of the quality characteristics of Sicilian almonds. They come from the elective areas of the almond tree: eastern and central-western Sicily. They differ from all the others for their balance between total fats (mono and polyunsaturated) and essential oils.
